International fashion designer compliments Minnie Dlamini

Minnie DlaminiLet’s be honest, South African is known for producing some of the most beautiful women in the world. From our gorgeous skin, curves people pay for and not to mention our diverse selection of women. But when one of the most famous fashion designers in the entire world compliments you, that’s kind of a big deal.

This is exactly what happened to our home-grown beauty Minnie Dlamini. We can only imagine how she felt when she got a mention from Stefano Gabbana, one half of the fashion powerhouse Dolce & Gabbana calling her a beauty.

She shared the screenshot to her Twitter feed expressing her happiness.

See the tweet here:

We obviously agree with Mr Gabbana but why has it taken so long for him to notice?

Go, Minnie!

ICYMI: Bonang is not giving away R100k

bonangImagine winning R100 000 from a celeb who probably uses that as small change? Amazing right? Well, this is exactly what fans of Bonang Matheba thought they could win but it seems it was too good to be true. An SMS has been making the rounds stating that you could stand a chance to win R100k with Queen B and she caught wind of this.

In order to keep the peace and set the record straight Bonang took a screenshot and posted it on Twitter stating that this was definitely a scam and people should not fall for it.

See the tweet here:

But if you remember this is not the first time this has happened, back in July a similar situation took place where she again had to let the people know that people were using her name for their own personal gain.

She shared a post and captioned it, “If I was giving away money, you’d know. Lol.”

So there we have it, unless Bonang herself let’s you know she’s giving away an insane amount of cash, it’s most probably a scam.

Nasty C in his feels over haircut fail

Nasty C Strings and BlingAs the old-age saying goes, once you find a good hairstylist never let them go. But Nasty C clearly didn’t get the message.
The 21-year-old rapper visited a barber shop in New York to freshen up before his music video shoot. Sadly the outcome of his visit has left him angry.

He took to Twitter to rant about his awful experience and called out the barber for being inexperienced.

Ouch.

See the rant here:

But luckily he found a temporary solution and is positive things will get better because, you know, hair grows.

Halsey claps back at haters who accused her of cultural appropriation after seeing her natural hair

HalseyLook, can we all just agree once and for all that whatever anyone decides to do with their own look is their own business? We love how fearless Bad At Love singer Halsey is when it comes to her hair, rocking and totally nailing styles from peroxide pixie cuts to waist-length mermaid waves and a recent buzz cut.

But she was attacked when she debuted a new all-natural hair look on Insta, with some followers accusing her of cultural appropriation. Her mirror selfie, which she captioned “new growth, new growth; all these fades I outgrew” shows her looking incredible in a white bathrobe, minimal makeup and dark curls.

new growth, new growth; all these fades I outgrew ❣

The post got more than 800,000 likes, but some commenters lashed out, assuming it was a wig that she had no right to wear. Halsey, who is mixed race, vented her annoyance at the misplaced hate, tweeting, “i can’t believe I spent a whole damn year growing out my curls under those wigs for y’all to say my natural hair looks like a wig… some f*cked up shit lmao.”

She then posted the ultimate comeback, ‘proving’ her hair is real with an adorable picture of herself as a curly-haired child.

Stay Mad.

And, showing she’s proud of her curls, she has since worn her hair natural again at the Jakarta leg of her world tour, tied up in a 1950s-style knotted headband.

Halsey has previously spoken out about the lack of inclusivity in beauty, complaining that hotels don’t offer shampoo and conditioner for people of colour. Let’s hope she continues to ignore the haters and do her own thing – whether that’s her natural hair or a rainbow wig, it’s sure to be total #HairGoals.

AKA gets cosy with DJ Zinhle and Twitter is confused

AKA DJ ZinhleThere’s nothing better than seeing an ex-couple coming through with a reunion. Where they can put their differences aside, let the past go and start fresh. And Twitter just about went into a meltdown when DJ Zinhle and her ex AKA were snapped looking very cosy and Taboo nightclub this past weekend.

People had A LOT to say about this, some good, some bad but never the less very entertaining.

The couple are currently co-parenting their beautiful daughter Kairo but are they willing to give their relationship another shot?

See what Twitter has to say about it:

But it seems DJ Zinhle caught wind of the reactions and shut the rumours right down! Poking fun at herself saying all you need to do to get a man is hug him. If only it were that easy girl.
