GQ approved Friday the 13th movies

Friday the 13th is up on us, stay indoors. No seriously, stay in.

It’s to keep safe, secure and away from all the stranger things that come with the day and only experience the chaos through our screens instead.

Friday

Chris Tucker and Ice Cube land in a hot mess on Friday the 13th, question is will they make it out alive and unscathed? This film directed by F Gary Gray is a combination of comedy and horror.

Carrie

Chloë Grace Moretz takes us through the journey of reckoning by unleashing newly found telekinetic abilities on classmates who took turns in bullying her. It’s a modern re-imagining of Stephen King’s novel of the same name.

1922

Another one of Stephen King’s adaptation. 1922 follows a farmer who killed his wife and his confession via letter leads to an extreme mayhem.

Veronica

This was released in 2017, but set in the 90s In Madrid, where a teenage girl minding a younger brother suspects evil force has entered their apartment after a séance that was held at her school. Creepy.

Death Note

Released in 2017, Death Note is based on the famous Japanese manga written by Tsugumi Ohba and Takeshi Obata. A high school student discovers a notebook that has powers to kill anyone whose name is scribbled in it. He starts killing uses the book to kill those he deems unworthy of life. Lakeith Stanfield, an investigator deemed as a genius, hunts the student down in this horrific thriller.
