King Lamar makes acting debut on hit crime series

Mr humble has grabbed a spot on hit crime drama series, Power.

Kendrick Lamar is officially making his film debut on Power. The series now in its fifth season, follows the life of club owner and drug lord, Patrick St. James (played by Omari Hardwick) who goes by the name of ‘Ghost’.

On the forefront, Ghost seems to have it all, a gorgeous wife Tasha (Naturi Naughton) that is the brains behind Ghost’s power, kids, a supportive best friend Tommy Egan (Joseph Sikora), loyal employees and clients. But things go south pretty quickly as he loses grip on everything that makes him the most powerful man in New York City.

The award-winning series is a retelling of the producer’s life story, Curtis James Jackson the third a.k.a ‘50 cent’, who also writes and stars on the show as Ghost’s rival drug dealer, Kanan Starks.

Kanan is literally a die-hard in the series, many attempts on his life have gone unsuccessful.

It seems through K-Dot’s cameo, we will witness Kanan make a temporary friend? Or new enemy? Whatever the case is, we’re here for King Kuta’s debut acting flex. With 4 studio albums, millions of record sales, Black Panther soundtrack, numerous awards and a Pulitzer Award under his belt, perhaps this move will make him an early contender for a guest appearance award (hello Academy Awards, what’s good?)
