Shawn Mendes cleans out awards at the 2017 MTV EMAs

Canadian pop singer, Shawn Mendes cleaned out gongs at the MTV European Music Awards that took place in Wembley, London this past weekend.

British actress and singer, Rita Ora hosted these highly esteemed annual awards at the SSE Arena in Wembley.

While her natural presenting skills were bomb diggity, it was Mendes who stretched the heart strings of many when he walked away with four trophies. He scooped the ‘Biggest Fans’, ‘Best Song’, ‘Best Artist’ and ‘Best Canadian Act’ awards.

The 19-year-old also took to stage to serenade the audience with his winning hit single, ‘There’s Nothing Holdin’ Me Back’ from his Illuminate album.

Former Fifth Harmony member, Camila Cabello, also performed the hell out of her new single ‘Havana’. She also grabbed herself a ‘Best Pop’ award, her first award after going solo.

Our all-time fav and rising fashion icon, Zayn Malik took away ‘Best Look’ award, deservedly so.

Hip-Hop legend, Eminem and rap god, Kendrick Lamar did one for the rap gang, taking ‘Best Hip Hop’ and ‘Best Video’ awards, respectively.
