Cassper Nyovest’s Ksazobalit video will give you goosebumps

Cassper envisions how we will be when we get back the land.

We didn’t know that it was a trap, so we all fell for it when hip-hop star Cassper Nyovest and actress Pearl Thusi had a go at each other on Twitter. Their twar was based on Cassper supposedly not liking that Pearl was riding horses because according to his tweets horses are for white people. Of course, Pearl hid back at Cassper and a Twar ensued. And it made entertainment headlines. Fast forward two days later, Cassper drops the video for his new single Ksazobalit, and guess who’s riding a horse in the video? You guessed right, Pearl Thusi. The hype around their twar was the publicity the video needed.

However, frankly speaking as beneficial as that stunt was, Ksazobalit, sells itself.

Nyovest took on to social commentary on this video as he tackles the land issue. In the video, Nyovest envisioned a world with a black man as a wealthy farmer. Donned in what most of us have known to be the farmers’ attire Cassper does the vhosho, drives tractors, raps and flexes as he goes about his business on his farm.

An epic visual is the aerial shot of the farm as farm workers in blue overalls dance, its excellent both in the way they dance, but also its insinuation of black people celebrating the ownership of the land.

Idols judge and television personality Somizi makes a cameo as a truck delivery driver in the video.

There’s a scene on the video that is almost a replica of a scene in the 2004 hit movie The Cookout when all the gang from the hood come for a braai and the white neighbours look on. It’s hilarious as the white farmer looks on at Nyovest and as his guests have lunch. The look is envious and yet too proud to ask to join. However, because this is a music video, there’s the happy ending of Nyovest inviting the farmer to join them, and he obliges.

Though brief, Thusi’s cameo as she rode in her a horse made Ksazobalit look dreamy and gave us goosebumps. I had hoped for a kind of embrace between Nyovest and Thusi in the video though.

This is one of Nyovest’s best videos to date in my opinion.

The news comes just after Cassper was also invited to speak at the Gordon Institute of Business Science (GIBS) last week. Tweeps were super excited to learn that their fave will be a special guest at the prestige parliament sitting, some playing the fool as usual.

ICYMI: Cassper BLOCKS DJ Maphorisa

DJ Maphorisa just got blocked on Twitter by Cassper Nyovest, this happened shortly after he commented on the 10 Million Record Sales Nyovest received during the weekend. Not long after the success of #FillUpFNBStadium, Cassper came out with plaques to affirm his success and his record breaking nature to have sold 10 million streams across his discography, including the Fill Up The Dome DVD.

But  not everyone was in a congratulatory mood, Maphorisa commented on Cassper’s post saying that he should not lie,

”Cass should have said 10 million streams not records, i give up!!!! we still have to divide that with 1500 streams equals to 1 sale ahhh u guys mara”

He said.

Let us know what you think in the comment section, do you think Maphorisa was right in this situation? or was he unnecessary?

Cassper Nyovest is going all out to remain on our lips in the weeks leading to his #FillUpOrlandoStadium concert yo! If not for allegedly placing buns in the oven, the rapper, real name Refiloe Phoolo, is now trending over semi naked pics he’s posted of himself in his Tswana regalia.

Cassper Denies ‘Pregnant Girlfriend’ Newspaper Claims

Just weeks before his Fill Up Orlando Stadium gig, Cassper Nyovest appears to be hogging newspaper headlines for other juicy reasons. Weekly tabloid newspaper, Sunday Sun yesterday reported that the Tito Mboweni hitmaker had impregnated his alleged girlfriend of six months and the pair are trying to keep the news tightly under wraps.

The alleged Kwa-Zulu Natal lass linked to the rapper is Thobeka Majozi who the newspaper reports to be five months pregnant. The publication alleged that the pair is elated at the news of being parents and that families are even in conversation with damage payments underway.

After these revelations, Cassper took to his Twitter page to address the claims alleged by the newspaper, evidently candidly outraged.

Meanwhile, the said girlfriend has been punting her alleged boyfriend’s upcoming concert on her Gram.

Worried fans asked for clarity from the rapper and he was only happy to indulge them in his truth.

While some ladies weren’t too happy to hear of the news, others weren’t buying Cass’ story:

Even in the midst of drama, he continued to urge his fans to buy tickets and help #FillUpOrlandoStadium

What do you think? Is there truth in these newspaper claims or nah? Do let us know.
