Watch all the best performances from the 2018 GRAMMYs

The 2018 GRAMMYs are all about the performances and this year’s show did not disappoint. From Kendrick Lamar’s politically charged medley and Lady Gaga’s beautiful rendition of Million Reasons, to Kesha and co’s stunning nod to the Time’s Up movement – here are our standout stage moments…

Kesha

Kesha reduced the audience (and viewers at home) to tears with an emotional performance of her poignant single Praying. She was joined on stage with Camila Cabello, Cyndi Lauper, Julia Michaels, Andra Day and a massive choir as they paid homage to the Time’s Up movement.

Logic, Alessia Cara and Khalid

The young trio put on a moving set as they performed their suicide prevention single 1-800-273-8255. They were joined on stage by suicide attempt survivors, and friends and relatives of suicide victims.

Kendrick Lamar

[embedded content]

Kendrick Lamar opened the show with an incredible fire-and-drums-filled set, starting off the performance alongside U2’s Bono before being joined by an army of stomping soldiers and amazing dancers. Comedian Dave Chappelle also punctuated the set with scripted interludes.

Lady Gaga

Gaga treated us all to a beautiful, stripped back performance of her hits Joanne and Million Reasons in front of a piano with a little help from pal, Mark Ronson. FLAWLESS.

Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee

[embedded content]

Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee brought some Latin flavour to Madison Square Garden as they sang their anthem Despacito, sharing the stage with some pretty hot dancers.

Childish Gambino

Childish Gambino may have taken a back seat while Donald Glover was busy making history in Hollywood, but he was back in full force performing his track Terrified from Grammy-nominated album, Awaken, My Love! with special guest vocalist J.D. McCrary – a 10-year-old actor/singer who will star as Simba in Disney’s upcoming remake of The Lion King.

DJ Khaled, Rihanna and Byson Tiller

DJ Khaled, Rihanna and Bryson Tiller gave us all what we wanted as they recreated the Wild Thoughts music video on the GRAMMY stage. As always, Riri SLAYED.

Bruno Mars and Cardi B

So, turns out Miley Cyrus & Liam Hemsworth have been married for SIX months!

Miley Cyrus not "marriage material"News broke this morning that Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth are actually married – and we can’t even say ‘congratulations to the newlyweds’ because the actual ceremony happened six months ago.

Now, we know that Miley can keep a secret life from us (Hannah Montana and all), but we weren’t expecting this secret life to be married life. According to the Australian magazine NW, a source confirmed the duo tied the knot in April:

“It was a very intimate ceremony at their house in Malibu. I’m told only a handful of people were there and they’re still the only ones who know. Miley and Liam haven’t really been making it public knowledge,” the source added. “And don’t plan to anytime soon.”

Rumours have been swirling since last week, that the lovebirds had tied the knot. The couple were spotted wearing matching wedding bands while visiting the place they first met – Tybee Island in Georgia, where they filmed the movie The Last Song. Aww ❤️

They also made a red carpet appearance last month – it was the first for the duo since 2013 – at the Thor: Ragnarok LA premiere.

To support Liam’s brother Chris, the newly reunited couple posed for adorable snaps. Miley was wearing a vibrant 60s-inspired flower power dress and Liam looked as handsome as ever in a suit and tie.

Earlier this year, following her self-imposed “media blackout”, Miley Cyrus spoke out about her relationship with hubby Liam Hemsworth and she got honest!

“I think, know that everything is happening for the right reason,” Miley said while speaking to SiriusXM’s Hits 1 in Hollywood.

The couple split in 2013, as Miley revamped her image from Disney star to the girl who infamously twerked on Robin Thicke at the VMAs. They were first seen back together in January 2016.

Miley said she would tell her younger self: “I think … everything is happening for the right reason, and I knew that when we weren’t together for the first time. I didn’t know if that was the end of it, or if we’d be back together again, but knew that wherever I was going, I was on the right path.”

The pair needed to break up to have the relationship they have today: “I think, people who break up and get back together, I think that’s awesome because you know it’s true, but you get time to be yourself. You get time to grow up. I think if you’re growing up attached to another person, you never really get solid as your own being.”

It’s not the first time Miley has spoken about getting back with Liam, telling Billboard magazine.
“I needed to change so much. And changing with someone else not changing like that is too hard,” she told the interviewer. “We had to re-fall for each other.”

Miley even wrote a song about her relationship with Liam. The track, Malibu, includes the lyrics, “I never would’ve believed you if three years ago you told me I’d be here writing this song.”

Speaking of the track, she said: “They’re going to talk about me if I come out of a restaurant with Liam. So why not put the power back in my relationship and say, ‘This is how I feel’?”

Since rekindling their relationship, Miley and Liam have appeared happier than ever, with Miley even getting a tattoo dedicated to her man.

Liam has professed his love for Vegemite countless times in interviews, which is why everyone’s convinced it’s for him.

Their love story 2.0 started when Miley and Liam hung out over Christmas and New Year in 2015. “Miley came back to LA after spending the holidays with Liam. She had the time of her life being with him and his family,” a source told E! News at the time.

Miley also set tongues wagging when she posed for a photo on Instagram wearing the engagement ring Liam gave her the first time around…Miley also set tongues wagging when she posed for a photo on Instagram wearing the engagement ring Liam gave her the first time around…

To be fair, if we had a 3.5-carat, custom-designed Neil Lane engagement ring we would never take it off.

An insider told E News! at the time that Liam’s family is pleased to have Miley back in their life, and think that they can make it work now that they’re older.

“Liam never stopped loving Miley. Liam and Miley’s timing was just off the first time they were engaged, many things played into them calling it off,” an insider told the website.

“They both needed to grow up and figure themselves out more. Liam’s family always liked Miley but they supported Liam’s decision at the time. They did feel that both of them were too young.” The source added, “They are in love and it’s a different time now for them.”

Back in 2015, when the pair had broken up, Liam opened up about his five year relationship with Miley saying his feelings for her will never change.

When asked if he felt like he’d “dodged a bullet,” he said: “You fall in love with who you fall in love with; you can never choose. I guess some people just come with a little more baggage.

“I mean, look-we were together five years, so I don’t think those feelings will ever change. And that’s good because that proves to me that it was real. It wasn’t just a fling. It really was an important part of my life and always will be,” he told Men’s Fitness.

Likewise, Miley told Australian talk show host Chris Bath: “I love Liam, Liam loves me”.

Miley Cyrus explained why she’s not touring — and It’s for a REALLY Miley reason

Miley Cyrus adores her pets so much, she’s avoiding travel just so she can devote time to them. She recently told Howard Stern that she wasn’t touring her new album Younger Now because she wanted to take care of her pigs, E! News reports.

“Literally the only reason I’m not touring is because of those f*cking pigs,” she said. “That’s how much I love those pigs.”

Miley has had lots of pets, including dogs, cats, and fish as well as her pigs. And, apparently, caring for them is a full-time job. Liam Hemsworth has called the pigs’ home “the office,” and Miley has shared photos of herself feeding them on Instagram.

In 2015, she appeared on the cover of Paper with her pig Bubba Sue, who gets manicures from her and sleeps on her couch. She obviously has a special bond with her pets, so if they’re demanding too much attention right now for her to perform, we can forgive her.

Here’s why Noah Cyrus is turning off her Instagram comments

Noah CyrusNoah Cyrus might switch off her Instagram comments after she was barraged with people claiming she “doesn’t love” her older sister Miley. The 17-year-old singer has revealed she’s on the verge of disabling the comments feature on her Instagram account after fans accused her of forgetting about her ‘Malibu’ hitmaker sister when she got three tattoos in dedication to her family.

Noah previously took to the photo sharing app to show off the new ink, when she captioned the snap: “A horseshoe for my mama. ‘Stand still’ for my dad, he’s always taught me to stand still when things get too crazy. A Triforce for Braison… I love you guys. (sic)”

And when asked during an interview with Australian radio station Hit 105’s Stav, Abby & Matt with Osher on Friday (30.06.17) if she had missed out 24-year-old Miley because “she didn’t love [her] enough”, Noah said: “That’s everything I’m getting on my Instagram comments so come on! Miley and I already have matching tattoos, we have matching teardrop tattoos.”

Noah was then asked if she always read the comments on her posts, and she replied: “Absolutely! I mean, it’s hard when these people are so annoying. I might have to turn them [Instagram comments] off soon.”

The comments come after Miley previously said she always tells her younger sister to keep the comments function turned off and to never search herself on Google. She said: “I always tell Noah, keep your Instagram comments turned off. Never read anything that anyone says about you. Don’t Google yourself.”

The ‘Inspired’ singer also said Noah has a new appreciation for how hard it has been for Miley over the last few years now she is experiencing similar things – like touring – for herself.

Miley added: “Now with Noah being on the road, she kind of understands, more than ever, how I feel of how draining it is. She kind of understands how hard it is now. Now having someone that really understands how hard it can be when you’re away from home for a month, me and my little sister have a new bond over that …

“I’m really proud of her that she did. I think she really didn’t involve me as much … I think she just wanted to get out on her own two feet without this having anything to do with me.”

Miley Cyrus: “The music industry made me guarded”

Miley CyrusMiley Cyrus says the music industry made her “guarded”. The ‘Malibu’ hitmaker admits it was tough growing up in the spotlight and she is hopeful her sibling Noah won’t become “guarded” or feel she has to go out of her way to please people because of the pressure.

She said: “When you’re in this industry, adults treat kids like adults. I think the way people judge you or people would write articles on me when I was a kid going through the times of having crazy breakouts or going through break ups or whatever I was going through, people would treat me like I could handle those comments as an adult, like I had this thick skin.

“I think it makes you jaded, it makes you guarded, and I don’t ever want her to get like that. Or your style or the way that you think because you want to please people. I really hope that she never feels those pressures and I hope other people respect her and don’t actually make her something she’s not.”

And there is one particular piece of advice Miley has for Noah – to not read what other people say about her on social media and the Internet. She added: “I always tell Noah, keep your Instagram comments turned off. Never read anything that anyone says about you. Don’t Google yourself.”

And Miley, 24, says her sibling has a new appreciation for how hard it has been for Miley over the last few years as she is experiencing similar things – like touring – for herself.

Speaking to Elvis Duran on his iHeartRadio’s Label Defiers podcast, she said: “Now with Noah being on the road, she kind of understands, more than ever, how I feel of how draining it is.

Is Miley getting her own reality show?

Miley CyrusMiley Cyrus thinks it would be “very fun” to star in her own reality TV show. The 24-year-old musician has admitted she’s open to the idea of appearing in her own access-all-areas TV programme, but she joked her family may be too “insane” for the platform.

Asked about the prospect of having her own reality show, Miley – whose sister Noah is also an actress and a singer – explained: “I don’t know how many fans I would have left because my family is absolutely insane. Actually like, yes and no, it would be very fun and I think people would have fun, but no because no.”

Miley currently lives in Malibu, California, with her fiancé Liam Hemsworth – but the celebrity couple frequently travels to Australia to spend time with Liam’s family.

Speaking to Smallzy’s Surgery, Miley shared: “I go back for all the family holidays and all that. It is a trek, but it’s worth it. So I try to go for big periods of time. When you’re taking a 20-hour flight, you want to make it worth it.”

Meanwhile, Miley recently revealed she stopped smoking marijuana after having a nightmare in which she “got so stoned that [she] died” live on TV.

Miley said the decision to quit using the drug came after she was left terrified by the “seriously horrible” dream that saw her drop dead during her opening monologue on American sketch show ‘Saturday Night Live’.

She recalled: “I kept having this nightmare, it was seriously horrible. I had this dream that I would die during my monologue on ‘SNL’ for some reason. That I would just get so stoned that I just died. Which I googled, and that’s never happened.

“No-one’s ever died from weed, but no-one has ever smoked as much as I did, so they don’t really know [if it’s possible.]”

Our favourite moments from the Billboard Music Awards

This year’s BBMAs, held at the T-Mobile Arena on 21 May in Las Vegas, were a smash hit, with classic stars like Cher and Celine Dion joining the lineup with the likes of Drake, Lorde, Miley Cyrus and more. Here’s a round-up of our favourite moments from this year’s show:

1 Celine Dion dressed as a swan/soft serve ice cream

Celine Dion sang ‘My heart will go on’, which was a bit of a cheap shot. She knows we can’t resist Jack and Rose (there was room on that door). Nevertheless, it was an emotional powerhouse of a performance that tugged at the heartstrings of BBMA watchers across the globe, and made us all ready to re-watch Titanic twenty years after its initial release.

2 Nicki Minaj’s nine-minute montage opens the BBMAs

Nine minutes of Nicki? Nine? Although it may have seemed like too much, the crowd loved it. Or perhaps they were just transfixed by her butt (and her backup dancers). With dozens of dancers to support her, as well as Lil Wayne, David Guetta and Jason Derulo, there was no way it wasn’t going to be a hit.

3 Drake won the BBMAs. He won the whole thing.

Drake performed ‘Gyalchester’ and wowed crowds by performing in the middle of exploding fire and water and doing his thang inside the famous Bellagio fountain. (Yes, an actual fountain.)

Hear hear.

cher

4 Cher, full stop.

At 71 years old, Cher won the well-deserved Icon Award. She performed ‘Believe’ and ‘If I could turn back time’, the two biggest hits of her career. She gave a humorous and charismatic speech and proved to all those watching the BBMAs that true style is timeless.

5 Miley reinvented herself. Again.

Gone are the days of Miley riding a wrecking ball naked and grinding worlds-perviest-man Robin Thicke. Once again, Hannah Montana donned a new disguise, bringing squeaky-clean Miley Cyrus back from hiatus. She sang her new single, ‘Malibu’ after her sister Noah introduced her with the line, “for the first time in years with pants on, my big sister Miley Cyrus!” (*groan*). Nevertheless, it’s great to have her back.

halsey

6 What was up with Halsey’s bra?

It’s like the photos you look at with regret after your Matric farewell, when you decided to strip and forgot that you were wearing a badly-fitting beige Woolies granny bra. Not the best outfit at the BBMAs by far.

lorde

7 Lorde sang Karaoke

Isn’t the whole point of karaoke that you’re really bad at singing, and it’s funny for the audience? Lorde didn’t seem to care and performed ‘Green light’ to the wild approval of fans.

8 Zayn doesn’t pitch

“Can’t make it to the #BBMAs tonight and know I’ve been away for a bit,” he wrote. “Finishing up these new songs for you. Be back soon.”

You call that an excuse? Please.

9 Twitter destroys the Chainsmokers

When ‘Closer’ comes on in the club, you go so wild your own mother would disown you. Despite this, the duo have a reputation for giving terrible performances and last night’s BBMAs were no exception. Better luck next time, I guess? They performed a song entitled ‘It’s hard when you’re young’. The entire world knows that, though, because it seems like that’s the only lyric.

10 Camilla Cabello, ex-Fifth Harmony singer, performs ‘Crying in the Club’

While she performed to general acclaim, Twitter followers were not as happy.

vanessa

12 Vanessa Hudgens hosts the BBMAs

In the words of GLAMOUR’s art director, “I thought we left her in 2007?”. Apparently, Vanessa Hudgens is not dead or retired, but is readying for a comeback. She proved herself last night by being ready for anything that came her way, including a bit of rapping and some wild dancing when Cher took the stage. She even managed to impersonate every single artist. Hats off to her!
