Taylor Swift casually slid into her fans’ DMs over the weekend

Taylor Swift

Imagine this: You get a notification that someone has hit you up on Instagram, and click into the message to find out it’s from none other than Taylor Swift. Apparently, that’s exactly what happened to over a dozen T. Swift fans over the weekend when the ‘Look what you made me do’ singer casually slid into their DMs. (I’m not screaming, you’re screaming.)

Taylor spent the past few days “lurking hard” on her fans’ Instagram accounts. She watched their stories, sent them messages, and liked their photos, offering up virtual hugs and using a lot of cat emojis in the process. “You look beautiful babe, I miss you,” she messaged one fan. “It’s weird not to be able to hug you right now!!!!!!!” she commented on another’s live story.

Understandably, the people she got in touch with completely freaked out. There were more than a few sets of tears, and a general sentiment of, “Oh my gosh, Taylor is amazing.” “I honestly can never tell you how much I love this girl she means more than the entire worlds to me,” tweeted one user alongside some screenshots of her chat with the superstar, which involved Taylor expressing her excitement for the fan’s upcoming poetry book.

When it comes to surprising her fans, T. Swift is pretty much the queen. She’s been known to randomly invite people to hang out with her backstage after her concert, and once FaceTimed a fan whose dying wish was to meet her. Last summer, she showed up at one unsuspecting fan’s wedding, and earlier this year, she sent a homemade card to a college student in Florida to congratulate her on her graduation.

Be warned: The screenshots of her most recent random acts of fan kindness will warm your heart while simultaneously making you insanely jealous. If they get invited to be members of her squad or in her next music video, we’re done.
