The Stranger Things kids perform a Motown medley & it’s the best thing you’ll watch today

It’s official: the kids from Stranger Things are the gifts that keep on giving. They rap, they dance, they constantly provide us with friendship goals and now, it’s been revealed that they’ve been maintaining a side hustle as… a Motown group. Well, for one night anyway.

Finn Wolfhard, Gaten Matarazzo, Caleb McLaughlin, and Noah Schnapp joined James Corden on The Late Late Show this week where they premiered a hilarious behind-the-scenes style documentary sketch about their “forgotten” Motown group, The Upside Downs.

At the end of the show, the boys performed a medley of Motown classics including ‘I’ll be there’ by The Four Tops, ‘My girl’ by The Temptations, and ‘I want you back’ by The Jackson 5. It was EPIC.

In the documentary sketch, the guys explain how they formed the band while in school together. “Some people thought it was weird that James hung out with us because he’s an adult, but we actually went to school with him,” Wolfhard says. “You know, he was held back a couple of years, but we were in the same grade.”

They then explained that the group parted ways when all but Corden landed roles in Stranger Things. “That band was still the most creatively fulfilling thing I’ve ever been a part of,” McLaughin says.

Long live The Upside Downs!
