Twitter isn’t impressed with the 2018 Met Gala red carpet offering

2018 Met GalaThe 2018 Met Gala is upon us girls and boys, which means another 24 hours of fawning over the biggest names in showbiz as they strut their stuff on the red carpet, all in aid of charity. The event, formally known as the Costume Institute Gala, happens every first Monday of May and is a fundraiser dedicated to New York City’s Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute, aka The Anna Wintour Costume Center, in homage to the American Vogue’s editor-in-chief, who has been a chair member of the museum’s gala since 1995. Every year the celebrities don some of their most outrageous gowns to fit with the theme, which this year is ‘Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic Imagination’, and we all knew it was going to be super controversial. Just like every year, though, there are a bunch of people (mostly on Twitter) who are less than pleased with the sartorial offering on the Met Gala red carpet. It didn’t take long for the tweets and memes to come rolling in…

There were, however, a few people who they were SERIOUSLY impressed with. Cue, Rihanna and some other folk you might recognise…

Well, you can’t please them all.
